We are gearing up for another food drive to support families in the Young Families of Metro Vancouver community who need help to keep going in these turbulent times. It will be slightly different from our past food drives (May Food Drive and July Food Drive) earlier this year. To help with the Christmas holiday season in December, we want to run a food drive to give them an amazing and festive family dinner food hamper!

Our next outreach is called:

"$10,000 to feed 100 families for the Christmas holidays" 

This will roll out in December and will be open for any family that are in the YFMV Facebook Group community, referred directly by a member of our community, and the general public as long as they join the YFMV Facebook Group community. All eligibility requirements will be in the application in detail. More than 100 families have applied already, those not chosen will be put on a waitlist just in case we exceed our donations and can include them last minute.

The donations meter is updated daily. It will be combined donations done by etransfer or our community partners and what is raised with the gofundme. You can donate either through Gofundme (https://gf.me/u/y87kti) or through e-transfer by clicking the button below on the right.

Our Mission: 
To foster community for families with kids ages 12 below so we can reach and help parents in need or struggle with isolation or loneliness.

Who We Are:
We are a community of young families for young families in Metro Vancouver that have kids age 0 to 12 (pregnant moms are included)! Young Families meaning we have young children! Since we are all living roughly the same life phase, we can all empathize and understand each other.

Our goal at YFMV is to foster community amongst families with children 12 years old and younger. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, we knew that we wanted to do something to help those in our community that were affected by job loss, health difficulties, or otherwise had difficulty providing food for their family for pandemic-related reasons. This is an outreach that we run thanks to all our generous donors and volunteers in the community!
